😌 Humans of User Research with Victor Yocco
Hi Victor, tell us a little about yourself!
I’m a UX researcher and author who has spent over a dozen years conducting research for organizations and businesses across many industries. Wow, time flies! As I’ve grown in my UX career, I’ve found the thing that brings me the most joy is working with newer researchers and watching them grow their skills. I also enjoy the learning that comes with taking on a new project. I’m also a father who enjoys traveling, reading, and playfully connecting with my kids.
What's a professional goal you aim to achieve in the coming year?
I’m hoping to have an action packed year in my professional life. I’m looking for my next opportunity to grow as a researcher and leader. I’m hoping to find a role that allows me to grow a team of researchers and contribute to the positive impact of UX research on a product. I’m also exploring the possibility of writing another book on UX. I am still excited by opportunities to contribute to the field.
What's your go-to snack during marathon research sessions?
Coffee. I can go an unbelievably long period of time surviving solely on coffee.
What can people reach out to you about and how can they find you?
I’d love to chat with anyone about UX research, career growth, or writing. You can always connect and send me a message over LinkedIn, or email me at victoryocco@gmail.com
Thank you, Victor!
